Franki Chan is one of the leaders of the indie DJ movement in the USA, is an accomplished illustrator and he is the owner of IHEARTCOMIX, a record label, an event promotion company and a marketing brand. As a DJ, FRANKI has traveled the world, rocking dance parties from east to west and sharing the turntables with the best of the best, helping to influence a whole new generation of DJs.
Raised in Indiana, but now living in Los Angeles, via Seattle and Okinawa, FRANKI found a love of DJ’ing through punk rock shows and going to the local 80’s dance clubs in the late 90’s. Around this time, FRANKI used to throw a lot of warehouse and basement shows. One day he decided that there should be something to do after the shows, and he liked dancing, so he pulled out a record player and began playing music. Not long after, the one turntable turned into two and he was thrust into the world of DJ’ing. The underground shows turned into after hours parties and eventually real dance clubs. It was through these years that FRANKI was able to perfect his unique blend of playing ‘the hits’ with the latest and most innovative dance music, often times breaking artists or songs before they become sensations.
In 2003, FRANKI moved to Los Angeles and began his company, IHEARTCOMIX. Over the course of the last few years he has began and maintained several successful parties including FUCKING AWESOME, SUNDAY-FUNDAY, CINESPACE TUESDAYS and the current rage, CHECK YO’ PONYTAIL! All of which introduced the best in upcoming talent and garnered critical acclaim. FRANKI has had the honor of playing along side some of the best artists and DJs playing today including: MSTRKRFT, Justice, Spank Rock, The Rub, Bloc Party, Flosstradamus, Switch, Boys Noize, Feadz and Uffie, She Wants Revenge, Lady Sovereign, Le Castle Vania, The Teddybears, My!Gay!Husband!, Roxy Cottontail, Diplo, Acid Girls, The Presets, Para One, Simian Mobile Disco, A-Trak, Crystal Castles, Peaches, Radioclit, The Juan Maclean, Lupe Fiasco, Annie, Interpol, Green Velvet and many more. He has also played private events for Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Cristina Ricci, movie premiers, magazines such as Paper, Nylon, Stuff and Jane and has even played COACHELLA. He has become increasingly in demand and is constantly on tour. He plans on keeping it that way with upcoming European, U.S. and Australian tours planned.
In addition to DJ’ing, FRANKI has began releasing a series of mix tapes and has begun to produce his own remixes and edits. He is also focusing a lot of his time on his recently launched record label, IHEARTCOMIX RECORDS, which has current and upcoming releases by Matt & Kim, Protokoll, Ocelot, The Toxic Avenger, Le Castle Vania, Roxy Cottontail, and Dreamburger.
FRANKI’s motivation from day one has always been about having fun, being creative and exposing those that share the same sentiment. He treats DJ’ing no differently.

Who is this “Don Diablo” dude, who just got signed to SONY BMG!? Well for starters he’s a producer, musician, imaginary friend, DJ, singer, writer, part-time streaker, visualist, record label boss, invisible hooligan and well, a lot more to be honest, but let’s keep things simple for now. Here are fifteen basic facts you just have to know about Don:
1. Don has had seven top 100 chart hits in Holland. Check out the bad ass music videos at www.dondiablo.com…
2. Don’s hectic tour schedule has taken him from Tokyo to Rio and from Miami to Tel Aviv…
3. Don always works alone in the studio, because he has a very strange way of making music and he likes to work in the nude…
4. Don has released over 70 singles, starting at the age of 15…
5. Don’s recent single “Pain is Temporary, Pride is Forever” was nominated for a TMF Award by MTV Networks in the category “Best Music Video 2007″…
6. Don proved to be hot in more ways in ‘07: He was voted “Most Eligible Bachelor” by “Jackie Magazine”, was the highest ranked Dutchman at no. 15 in Cosmopolitan’s “100 Hottest Men Alive” list, while also being named “Most Popular Dutch DJ” at the GKA Awards…
7. Don always plays with 4 decks when he DJ’s, even though he only has two hands. You can check out streaming livesets at www.dondiablo.com/livesets…
8. Don has recently done an official remix for hip hop legends “Public Enemy”, who ranked no. 44 on Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of Greatest Artists of All Time…
9. Don was voted “Best Dressed Man 2007″ by Esquire magazine…
10. Don’s first album, “2Faced”, was released in 2004 through Universal Music…
11. Don’s last four singles were all used for TV campaigns to promote several Hollywood movies…
12. Don also runs and owns the record label Middle of the Road Music, which first released and discovered UK top 3 hit “Mason – Exceeder”…
13. Don likes to drink milk during his DJ-sets, sings on all of his own records, has never done drugs and eats desserts three times a day…
14. Don was one of the first ambassadors for Dance4Life; an international UN-supported action campaign to fight back against HIV and AIDS. Don travelled to South Africa to visit several Dance4Life affiliated projects in Johannesburg and Capetown. MTV Networks shot an intense documentary of Don’s visit to these projects…
15. Don’s mother is very proud of him, as is his father, who is more into Frank Zappa though…
So there you go, now you know the basics! Just go to <www.dondiablo.com, or www.myspace.com/dondiablo for more info, tunes and (music)videos. Oh yeah, you can also just type in “Don Diablo” at www.youtube.com and enjoy the ride!
